Interesting fact
The Sikyon Stater was one of the first coins to feature a portrait of a deity. The obverse of the coin features a depiction of the goddess Hera, making it one of the earliest examples of a coin with a divine image. This was a significant innovation in coinage design and paved the way for the use of portraits on coins in the ancient world.
