This coin was issued to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and this strike was only included as part of the Annual Silver Piedfort Proof set for 2022. The coin was also struck in copper-nickel, silver proof, and gold proof. Issue limit: 370.© The Royal Mint, 2022
The individual release has a different obverse with the Queen on horseback.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Platinum Jubilee Silver Piedfort 50p coin is that it features a unique double effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, with one portrait depicting her in a formal crown and the other showing her in a more relaxed pose, wearing a tiara. This is the first time that two different portraits of the Queen have been featured on a UK coin.
