The first time a royal event was celebrated on a UK 50p coin. This coin was issued to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and this strike was only included as part of the Annual Gold Proof set for 2022. Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Platinum Jubilee 50p coin is that it features a unique double effigy design, with two portraits of Queen Elizabeth II, one in the traditional pose and another in a more modern, relaxed pose, to commemorate her 75 years on the throne.
