The series was struck to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first book, A Bear Called Paddington, by Michael Bond.The third of four Paddington Bear commemorative coins, the others being Paddington at the station, Paddington at the Palace and Paddington at St Paul's.
Issued in a Limited-Edition Presentation (issue limit: 25,000, sales 16,887) in a clear acrylic presentation case, while also available to third parties (140 sales). The coins were also struck in copper-nickel and gold proof. Issue Limit: 32,500
