Maiasaura was a duck-billed dinosaur that was able to walk on all four legs or its hind legs. Meaning of name : 'Good mother lizard' because of habit of guarding its eggs in the nest. It lived in the area currently covered by the state of Montana in the Upper Cretaceous Period (mid to late Campanian), about 76.7 million years ago and ate usually leaves, berries and seeds.
