Comment

Palacio de la Magdalena: A living example of the solidarity of its people, it was built on the peninsula from which it received its name between 1908 and 1912. The City Council projected it as the residence of the Spanish Royal Family, and it was carried out with the participation of all the Santander people by popular subscription. Being the most emblematic building of Santander, however, it does not have a defined style, being a mixture of English and French styles with the incorporation of typical elements of the mountain architecture. Its modern rehabilitation has contributed greatly to the consolidation of the city as a great destination for congresses nationwide.
