Comment

The house of Columbus: Former house of the Governor that the discoverer visited during his first trip in 1492, is located in the historic district of Vegueta, and since 1951 has focused on studying, researching and disseminating the history of the Canary Islands and their relations with America . It is a marvel, not only for the pieces it houses inside, but for its architecture. The large patios, the wood paneling and the stone ornaments, reflect, to a large extent, the island influence. The construction comes from the integration of several houses and, in spite of the different rehabilitations, original zones of the XVIth century are conserved.
