Stamp and coin set - Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2012)

Celebrations of the 100th edition of the Grey Cup® wouldn't be complete without a reminder of the 50th final, which left its mark on history because of the weather. The collectible stamp recalls the 1962 Fog Bowl between Winnipeg and Hamilton. At the start of the game, a fog began to invade the field. It then became so thick that then-Canadian Football LeagueTM Commissioner G. Sydney Halter had to suspend play early in the fourth quarter, when the score was 28-27 Winnipeg. The following afternoon, the Blue Bombers managed to hold on to their lead in the resumption of play, during which no further points were scored, and thus became the first and only team to win the Grey Cup final in a game played over two days.

The 25-cent commemorative coin also pays tribute to Winnipeg's impressive number of Grey Cup victories: 10 in 26 appearances in the final.

If you, or someone you know, is a fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, this coin and stamp set is the perfect gift!
