The commemorative stamp celebrates the Eskimos' unprecedented run of five consecutive Grey Cups, from 1978 to 1982. Interesting fact
The Edmonton Eskimos, featured on the 25-cent coin, are actually a Canadian Football League (CFL) team that has since changed their name to the Edmonton Elks. The team was previously known as the Edmonton Eskimos from 1910 to 2020, and they have a rich history in the CFL, winning several Grey Cups. The coin was issued in 2012 as part of a series celebrating the history of the Grey Cup, and it features a depiction of the Edmonton Eskimos' logo on one side and Queen Elizabeth II on the other.
