Samuel Pepys was one of the most famous diarists in history, his diaries provide first-hand accounts of life in 17th Century London. This two-pound piece commemorates his final diary entry on the 31st May 1669.Released as part of the 2019 annual silver piedfort commemorative sets (issue limit: 1,000; sales 282), as well as individually (841 sales), the design was also struck in copper-nickel, silver proof and gold. Issue limit: 2,019.
