Samuel Pepys was one of the most famous diarists in history, his diaries provide first-hand accounts of life in 17th Century London. This two-pound piece commemorates his final diary entry on the 31st May 1669.Released as part of the 2019 annual silver proof sets (Issue limit: 1,000; sales 406), as well as individually (1,873 sales), the design was also struck in copper-nickel, silver piedfort and gold proof. Issue limit: 3,500.
