D-Day was the largest seaborne invasion in history which took place on 6th June 1944 and began the liberation of German-occupied France during WWII.Released as part of the 2019 annual gold proof commemorative sets (Issue Limit: 100; sales 88), as well as individually (400 sales), in a coin and newspaper set (issue limit: 20, sales 20) and to third parties in tubes (50 sales), the design was also struck in copper-nickel, silver proof and silver piedfort. Issue limit: 750.
