Comment
The ancient city of Philippi was named after Philip II of Macedon, father of Alexander the Great. The site, whichincludes an ancient theatre, three Christian basilicas and other monuments, was listed as a UNESCO World
Heritage site in 2016.
The coin was issued in bankrolls and in Proof quality in wooden box with certificate of authenticity and in BU quality on a coincard blister.
Interesting fact
The coin's design depicts a representation of the ancient city of Philippi, with the famous octagonal basilica at its center.
