This coin was minted adhering to FAO Numismatic Program.Is part of the set "FAO 50th Anniversary Coin Issue", which contains 22 or 23 proof silver coins, from 21 different countries. The difference on quantity of coins is cause the original proyect didn't contain the 1 pound coin from Egypt.
Coins are from Andorra, Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Chipre, Cuba, Egypt (1 or 2 coins), Guinea-Bissau, Israel (2 coins), Nicaragua, North Korea, Oman, Romania, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Tonga, Turkey, Uganda and Uruguay.
