Comment
In 755, a revolt resulted in the City of Luozhou (the capital), being taken. The Great Yan State was formed, lasting from 756 to 763, when it was finally extinguished. The title Deyi also means "to last one year", which was thought to be a bad omen, so in 759, the title was changed to Shuntian (the first era name of Shi Siming).
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a crescent shape on one side, which is a symbol of Islamic influence. The Great Yan State, where this coin was minted, was a rebellious dynasty that emerged during the Tang Dynasty, and it's believed that the inclusion of the crescent symbol was a nod to the Islamic culture that was present in the region at the time. This coin is a unique example of how cultural exchange and religious influences can be seen in the design of currency.
