Comment
In 755, a revolt resulted in the City of Luozhou (the capital), being taken. The Great Yan State was formed, lasting from 756 to 763, when it was finally extinguished. The title Deyi also means "to last one year", which was thought to be a bad omen, so in 759, the title was changed to Shuntian (the first era name of Shi Siming).
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique crescent and dot design, which is not commonly found on other coins from the same time period. This design element may have been used to distinguish the coin from other currencies in circulation or to symbolize the rebellious nature of the Great Yan State.
