VARIANTS: This coin was minted with 2 different obverses: KM# 243.1, the older one, has coat of arms smaller, wreath thinner and stripes on left are all plain; KM# 243.2, the most recent, with coats of arms bigger, wreath thick and 3 reeded stripes on left.

Camilo Cienfuegos was one of the commanders of Castro's troops, Camilo disappeared on a air trip from Camagüey to Havana, on end of October 1959. Remains of the plane never were found, is assumed got out of gas, after needed to change direction to avoid a storm.
