Comment

This collection is dedicated to the great artist Joan Miró (1893-1983). This is the fifth issue of the series called "Spanish Painters", with which we want to pay tribute to the most prominent Spanish creators throughout history.

Joan Miró i Ferrà (20 April 1893 – 25 December 1983) was a Catalan Spanish painter, sculptor and ceramist. A museum dedicated to his work, the Fundació Joan Miró, was established in his native city of Barcelona in 1975, and another, the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró, was established in his adoptive city of Palma in 1981.

Interesting fact

The interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design by the famous Spanish artist Joan Miró, known for his surrealist and abstract works. The coin's design, "Estrella matinal," which translates to "Morning Star," showcases Miró's signature style and is a rare example of artistic expression on a currency.
