Did you know?
The only maple leaf to have the title of emblem of Canada is the one that appears on the national flag. However, the maple itself is an official symbol. Acer, the genus to which maples belong, became the national arboreal emblem in 1996.
Why is the sugar maple, Acer saccharum, one of Canada's most important trees? Because it's the main source of the sweet sap used to produce maple syrup! And Canada produces 76% of the world's maple syrup.
Packaging
Each piece is individually encapsulated, and together, the six pieces make a magnificent collection in their presentation box.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 2020 Canadian $10 Silver Maple Leaves coin is that it features a unique privy mark, a small maple leaf, which is laser-engraved on the reverse side of the coin. This privy mark is a distinct feature that sets this coin apart from other coins in the Maple Leaves series and adds an extra layer of authenticity and collectibility.
