The third of four Edwina Ellis bridge designs, representing Northern Ireland the Egyptian Arch Bridge is a railway bridge in Newry, Northern Ireland. Locally known as the Egyptian Arch, the rail bridge passes over the Newry–Camlough Road, in the County Armagh half of Newry. The Egyptian Arch gained its name from its resemblance to the nemes headdress worn by Ancient Egyptian pharaohs.This was issued in the 2006 Queen's 80th Birthday Collection; issue limit: 8,000 as well as the 2007 - 4 Bridges Set (Forth Rail Bridge, Menai Straits Bridge, Egyptian Bridge & Gateshead Millennium Bridge) overall Issue Limit: 20,000
A second silver edition with selective gold plating was issued in 2008 to celebrate 25 years of the pound coin.
