This Sterling Silver crown-sized dollar coin commemorates a penguin unique to New Zealand. Also known as the hoiho, the Yellow-eyed penguin, is thought to be one of the world's rarest penguin species. The coin was issued in the annual New Zealand Uncirculated Mint Set as well as individually in a square plastic case.The coin was issued in a capsule in a plush case. (10,000 Copies)
It was also included in the annual 7 coin Proof Mint Set. (9,000 Copies)
