Interesting fact
The ⅓ Speciedaler coin from Norway, issued during the reign of Christian VII in 1803, features an interesting design element. The obverse side of the coin bears the image of the king, while the reverse side features a crowned shield with the coat of arms of Norway. This design was a departure from the previous coinage designs, which featured a simpler shield with the country's name inscribed above it. The addition of the crown on the shield was a symbol of the country's independence and sovereignty.
