Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the ½ Penny - George V (½D) 1931-1936 from South Africa is that it was the first coin to feature the image of King George V, who was the reigning monarch at the time. This coin was also unique in that it was the first South African coin to be made of bronze, rather than the traditional silver or gold. Additionally, the ½ Penny coin was the lowest denomination coin in circulation at the time, making it an important coin for everyday transactions.
