Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of Alexander the Great, while the reverse (back) side features an image of Zeus seated on a throne, holding a scepter and an eagle. This design was meant to symbolize Alexander's divine right to rule and his connection to the gods.
