Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of a king, believed to be Mausolus, the ruler of Caria, who reigned from 377 BC to 353 BC. The reverse (back) side of the coin depicts a four-horse chariot, which was a common motif in ancient Greek coinage and symbolized the power and prestige of the issuing city-state.
