Interesting fact

The Abdera Stater was minted during the reign of King Teres I, who was the founder of the Odrysian kingdom of Thrace. The coin features an image of a lion's head on one side and an inscription on the other side that reads "Teres, son of Sparadokos." This coin was used as a form of currency throughout the ancient Greek world and is considered a rare and valuable artifact today.
