Comment

In the second period (1530-1536), Frederick II was Duke of Mantua, but was not yet also Marquess of Montferrat.

The quattrino with OLYMPOS was struck in all three periods of Frederick's reign.  A careful reading of the obverse legend is required to determine the period to which the coin belongs (see links).

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Quattrino - Frederick II (OLYMPOS, 2d period) ND (1530-1536) coin from Duchy of Mantua (Italian States) is that it features an image of Frederick II, also known as Frederick the Great, who was the ruler of the Holy Roman Empire and the Duke of Mantua during the 16th century. He was known for his military conquests and his patronage of the arts, and his image on the coin reflects his importance in Italian history.
