Comment

Coinage was produced during the Russian-Turkish war in 1771-1774, by order of the Russian government on Sadogursky private mint (Sadagura) on the territory of modern Romania. Double denomination (in Russian and local currency) contributed to establishing the correct equivalents in the calculation with the local population in the procurement, mainly of food and fodder.

Interesting fact

The Pattern Para / 3 Dengi (Pattern) 1772 from Moldavia and Wallachia is a rare and unique coin that was minted during a time of great change and political upheaval in the region. The coin was issued by Prince Grigore III Ghica, who ruled Moldavia and Wallachia from 1764 to 1774, and was part of a series of experimental coinage that was meant to replace the traditional silver coinage of the region. The coin features a unique pattern, with the obverse bearing the image of a crowned eagle and the reverse featuring a stylized flower motif. Despite its rarity and historical significance, the coin is not well-known outside of numismatic circles, making it a fascinating discovery for anyone interested in the history of coinage.
