The Christian IV ND gold coin from Denmark, which was minted between 1588 and 1648, features an error in the inscription on the reverse side. The Latin phrase "REGNANS REX" (meaning "reigning king") was mistakenly engraved as "REGNANS REXD" with an extra "D" at the end.
