Inspired both by the double tournois of John II issued between March and September 1351 (Duplessy 319) and by the coronet of Maine from which it takes the legend of the reverse.Variations in the presence or not of a ring in the crown of the right and in the punctuation of the legend of the reverse.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Double Tournois coin from Duchy of Brittany is that it features the motto "SIGNVM DEI VIVI" (Sign of God the Living) on its reverse side, which was a unique feature for a coin during that time period.
