Interesting fact

The Pergamon Didrachm was used as a means of payment in the ancient Greek city of Pergamon, which is now located in modern-day Turkey. The coin features an image of the goddess Athena on one side and the city's symbol, a winged horse, on the other. The coin was minted during the reign of King Eumenes II, who ruled Pergamon from 197 BC to 158 BC. Despite being over 2,000 years old, many of these coins have survived to this day and are highly prized by collectors. In fact, some examples have sold for tens of thousands of dollars at auction!
