The Denga coin , which was issued during the reign of Yury Dmitrievich (1433-1434) in the Grand Principality of Moscow, was made of silver and had a unique feature. It was one of the first coins to feature the image of a prince on horseback, which became a common motif in Russian coinage in the centuries that followed. This design change marked a shift in the way that Russian rulers were depicted on coins, moving away from the traditional image of a prince standing or sitting and towards a more dynamic and powerful image of a ruler on horseback.
