Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Dekadrachm coin from Syracuse (Sicily) is that it features a unique combination of two different artistic styles: the obverse (front) side features a classical Greek portrait of the ruler Dionysios I, while the reverse (back) side depicts a more stylized and abstract image of a quadriga (a chariot pulled by four horses). This blending of styles is known as "hybridism" and was a common feature of ancient Greek art during the 4th century BC.
