Comment

The picture is the coin MCM 5164 (INCM Museum)
By King's Order from 05DEC1650, Our Lady of the Conception was appointed as Saint Patron of the Reign and the King offered her his Crown.
From that date on, the Kings of Portugal never used the Crown again.

Interesting fact

The coin was minted to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the death of King João IV, who ruled Portugal from 1648 to 1650. He was known for his efforts to restore the Portuguese monarchy and his support for the arts and culture. The coin's design features an image of the king on one side and the coat of arms of Portugal on the other. It was minted in a limited quantity of 5,000 pieces, making it a rare and valuable collector's item for numismatists.
