Comment

Called gouden lam in Dutch and mouton d'or in French.

During the six emissions of this type between 1356 and 1364 the allow was gradually reduced from pure gold to 0.813.

Similar coins were issued around the same time by the Duchy of Brabant, and royal France.

Interesting fact

The Agnel "Mouton d'Or" coin features an image of a lamb on one side, which is where it gets its name "Mouton d'Or" which means "Golden Lamb" in French.
