Comment
This coin, by Luís Filipe de Abreu, is the fourth and last in the commemorative series of the first circumnavigation voyage, carried out exactly five centuries ago. This coin commemorating the conclusion of the epic, thus completing the set. On both sides of this coin we see the ship Victoria, returning to the port with badly damaged sails, and an armillary sphere, symbol of the advances in the art of navigation, to which Magellan contributed so much.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it has a unique design, featuring a portrait of Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese explorer who led the first expedition to circumnavigate the globe in the early 16th century. The coin's design also includes a map of the world, symbolizing Magellan's pioneering spirit and the Age of Exploration.
