Comment

Nachi Falls are Japan’s highest and best-known waterfalls cascade down the bare rock of a 133-meter-tall vertical cliff, and were designated as a National Site of Scenic Beauty in 1972. Together with the Nachi Primeval Forest that extends behind them, they are part of the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range, a registered UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the stunning view of the falls harmonizing with the three-story pagoda in the foreground is one of the most famous landscapes in the Kumano Sanzan (the three Grand Shrines of Kumano).

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 500 Yen - Heisei (Wakayama) 27 (2015) coin from Japan is that it features a unique bimetallic design, with a copper-nickel center surrounded by a nickel brass ring. This distinctive design element sets it apart from other coins in the series and adds to its collectibility.
