Comment
The first issue in 5-year series, the British Monarchs, there will be a total of 21 monarchs, featuring iconic kings and queens from four royal houses: Tudor, Stuart, Hanover and Windsor, formerly known as Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.This release features a classic coinage portrait of Henry VII that appeared on Tudor coinage; the design was struck in a variety of precious metal compositions and denominations.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the coin is that it features a unique double effigy design, with both Queen Elizabeth II and King Henry VII depicted on the obverse side. This is a nod to the historical connection between the two monarchs, as King Henry VII was the first Tudor king and Queen Elizabeth II is the current monarch of the House of Windsor, which was previously known as the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha until 1917. The use of a double effigy design is a rare feature in coinage and adds to the coin's uniqueness and collectibility.
