Carlos Fonseca Amador (1936 - 1976), Nicaraguan professor, politician and revolutionary, born on June 23, 1936 in Matagalpa and died on November 7, 1976 in Zinica (Matagalpa).Founder of the Sandinista National Liberation Front in 1961 with Tomás Borge, Santos López and Silvio Mayorga, he was killed in the Nicaraguan mountains three years before his movement took power.
