Interesting fact

The 50 Xu coin from South Vietnam was designed by artist Nguyễn Đức Thọ, who was a well-known sculptor and artist in Vietnam at the time. The coin features a portrait of farmers working in a rice field on one side, and the national emblem of South Vietnam on the other. The coin was minted in 1963, during the height of the Vietnam War, and was used as a means of currency for the South Vietnamese people. Despite the challenges and turmoil of the time, the coin remains a symbol of resilience and determination for the people of Vietnam.
