The featured Great Pagoda at Kew was built in 1762 as a gift for Princess Augusta. Issued as part of the Annual Silver Proof sets for 2009 (2,749 sales) as well as being Issued as part of the 16-coin set (1,168 sales) to celebrate 40 years of the 50 pence denomination as well as individually (7,575 sales). The design was reused in 2019 although it featured Jody Clark's fifth portrait and was released as part of the 5-coin British Culture Sets celebrating 50 years of the 50p.
