The first type, with water lines to the swimmer's face, was issued in 29-piece BU sets to commemorate the XXX Summer Olympiad, London 2012. It is not known how many of these sets were produced before the first type of this coin was withdrawn and the second type, with more definition to the swimmer's face and no water lines, was released. The rare withdrawn first version is shown on the left.
