The Tales of the Earth series continues with Tyrannosaurus, the first coin in the 2024 series, developed in conjunction with the Natural History Museum. The coin was also produced in copper-nickel, silver proof, silver colourised proof and gold proof and for the first time in the series, non 50 pence coins silver proof 1oz and ¼ oz gold proof. The coin was also released as part of a Royal Mail Philatelic Numismatic Cover with an issue limit of 5,000.
