The Tales of the Earth series continues with Tyrannosaurus, the first coin in the 2024 series. The coin was also produced in copper-nickel, silver proof, silver colourised proof and gold proof and for the first time in the series, non 50 pence coins silver proof 1oz and ¼ oz gold proof.

Developed in conjunction with the Natural History Museum. This colourised copper-nickel edition was exclusive to the Royal Mint.
