According to the book “A guide Book of Mexican Coins” these coins have the same normal circulation design, the difference lies in the diameter being smaller than the official mintage.

Interesting fact

The Pattern 50 Centavos coin from Mexico, made of Copper-nickel and weighing 11.65g, has an interesting fact that it was designed with a smaller diameter than the regular 50 Centavos coin, measuring 27mm in diameter instead of the standard 31mm.
