One of the first coins to be issued under the reign of King Charles III, released on Monday October 3rd 2022 at 9am to commemorate the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II. Due to the unprecedented demand for the coin the mintage was unlimited until 31st December 2022, the coin was issued individually.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique double effigy design, with both a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and a cameo of Prince Charles on the obverse side. This is a nod to the Queen's long reign and her legacy, as well as the future succession of Prince Charles as the next monarch.
