Interesting fact
The 5 Lire coin from San Marino featuring the theme of "Protection of the Environment" was issued in 1995 and was the first coin in the world to be made of aluminum. This was a significant innovation in coin production at the time, as aluminum is a lightweight and corrosion-resistant metal that is now widely used in coinage.
