Ukraine’s state symbols reflect Ukraine’s history, reminding Ukrainians of the glory of their ancestors, and inspiring them to new feats and achievements. State symbols are an important attribute of a modern state, representing its sovereignty. For Ukraine, these are the Coat of Arms of Ukraine, the National Flag of Ukraine, and the National Anthem of Ukraine.

The National Flag of Ukraine is a flag consisting of two equal horizontal bands of blue and yellow that has been used by Ukrainians
since ancient times. The combination of these two colors is perceived as a reference to Ukrainian identity and the union of freedom and independence. In this combination, the blue color represents dignity, loyalty, sincerity, peace, the endlessness of the sky, safety and amity, while yellow stands for God’s generosity, a Ukrainian field of wheat, grandeur, and respect.
