The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia is part of the architectural complex of the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia. It is an impressive building, over 40,000 m2 in area and 75 meters high, built by the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava. Surrounded by more than 60,000 m2 of garden and 11,000 m2 of sheets of water, inside it houses four scenic spaces for performances of opera, music, ballet and theater. The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía is also home to the Orchestra of the Comunitat Valenciana.
