Patrimonio Nacional is the denomination received in Spain by the public body, dependent on the Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Equality, dedicated to the care and maintenance of assets historically linked to the Crown of Spain.The monastery of Our Lady of the Visitation, located in the Spanish city of Madrid and better known as the Descalzas Reales, is a monastery of cloistered nuns, clarisas coletinas, founded in 1559 by Juana de Austria, widow of Prince Juan Manuel de Portugal , sister of the King of Spain Felipe II and mother of the future Portuguese King Don Sebastián. It is located in the center of Madrid. It is a classicist building of the sixteenth century that houses important works of art inside. Part of the monastery is currently dedicated to a museum that can be visited.
